Hackers: A group of youthful computer specialists is framed for crimes committed by pc whiz and would-be master felon Stevens, and have to use their own computer abilities to demonstrate their innocence. It is quick paced and the lucid directing makes it fun. Cast includes Jonny Lee Miller, Angelina. Jolie, Fisher Stevens, Matthew Lillard, Laurence Mason, Jesse Bradford, Renoly Santiago, Lorraine Bracco, Wendell Perforate, Penn Jillette, Felicity Huffman, and Marc Anthony. (105 minutes, 1995)
Frozen Assets: Low-octane joke trifle, in which Bernsen is moved to a new bank only to find it's a sperm bank (get it?). He meets censored biologist Long and after a lot of wisecracks they find that they are drawn to each other. Red Salute: Absconder screwball Stanwyck meets no nonsense cadet Young in this clone of It Occurred One Day with crazy socio political wrinkle. Barbara's boyfriend (Albright) is an interrogator who makes Communists talk. This is a definitely a new twist. The clever plot is increased by smooth acting jobs, although it eventually skids into a basic heist thriller. Cast includes Martin Sheen, F. Murray Abraham, Stephen Davies, Catherine Hicks, Don Stroud, Sasha Jenson, Michael Oliver, Jeffrey Combs, Michael C. Gwynne, Anthony Crivello, Bert Remsen, and Clint Howard. (94 minutes, 1995)
