The many diverse genres of movies appeal to diverse people. There are always those who love a excellent horror movie and hate a good chick flick but usually there are some motion pictures that we like and others that we hate no matter the genre. The good thing about the movie entertainment business is that they always offer up something that appeals to everyone. Some great information about some of the greatest films that you may have never heard of is right here. Enjoy this list of films that are "oldies but goodies".

The many diverse genres of movies appeal to diverse people. There are always those who love a wonderful horror movie and abhor a good chick flick but most often there are some films that we like and others that we hate no matter the genre. The good thing about the movie entertainment business is that they always offer up something that appeals to everyone. Some good information about some of the greatest movies that you may have never heard of is right here. Enjoy this list of movies that are "oldies but goodies".
Down Argentine Way from 1940. Enjoyable 20th Century Fox musical with Grable in the film that raised her to celebrity falling in love with slick Argentinean horse breeder Ameche. Miranda is magnificent in her first American movie, acting infectious Brazilian music with her own band and look out for the Nicholas Brothers, who do a dynamite forte number. Picture postcard color all the way through. Cast includes Don Ameche, Betty Grable, Carmen Miranda, Charlotte Wood, Carrol Naish, Henry Stephenson, and Leonid Kinskey.
In 1988 Say It Isn't So hit theaters. Amiably un-ambitious Klein falls for the new hairdresser in town Graham. They have consensual sex and then Klein finds out that Graham is his sister. It is a absolute flop. Cast includes Heather Graham, Chris Klein, Orlando Jones, Sally Field, Richard Jenkins, John Rothman, Brent Briscoe, and Sarah Silverman.
The Sinister Urge from 1960. Dedicated cops Duncan and Moore set out to beat the "smut film racket," which is run by a gaudy blonde. Illustrates with total assurance how photographs of chubby women clad in just their underwear can be a main cause of adolescent wrongdoing. Cast includes Kenne Duncan, Duke Moore, Carl Anthony, Jean Fontaine, Dino Fantini, and Jeanne Willardson.
Happy Gilmore, hockey player Happy Gilmore finds his slap shot power translates into 400 yard plus drives in golf. Needing money to help his grandma save her house, he is going to attempt pro golf. His putting is as dreadful as his driving is good, so he has a lot to learn. Overcoming all odds, Happy wins the tour championship and now can save grandma's house.
Adios Amigo came out in 1975. Weird western comedy, written, produced, and directed by Williamson, who as well plays a part in the film along with con guy Pryor. There is no sex or violence in this harmless film, but it just doesn't exactly come together. Cast includes Fred Williamson, Richard Pryor, Thalmus Rasulala, James Brown, and Robert Phillips. Directed by Fred Williams.
Ivan the Terrible, continuation of the fable of King Ivan IV, in which he takes on the boyars in a confrontation for power. Remarkable film is just a hint underneath its predecessor, Banned by Stalin due to controversial illustration of Ivan's secret patrol, and not released till 1958. Cast includes Nikolai Cherkassov; Serafima Birman, Mikhail Nazvanov, Pavel Kadochnikov, and Andrei Abrikosov.
Black like Me hit the screen in 1964. Powerful drama based on authentic history of a journalist who took drugs that allowed him to pass for black so he might go through racial prejudice first hand. Some features of presentation are outdated, although subjects are still pertinent. Cast includes James Whitmore, Roscoe Lee Browne, Lenka Petersen, Sorrell Booke, Will Geer, Al Freeman, and Raymond Jacques.
