Nothing screams rock-n-roll more than a guitar that honors the guitar players signature and brand of one of the greatest bands or musicians. Custom designed signature models are an important part of any guitar makers selection and gives greater credibility and praise from the famous musicians of yesteryear and today that play and recommend their instruments. It is also a vital part of the overall marketing process of the company - but it is a very good way of selling more instruments.

Nothing shouts rock-n-roll more than a guitar that honors the guitarists personal name and brand of one of the greatest bands or artist. Unique signature guitar models are a very important part of any manufacturers product selection and provides greater credibility and recommendation from the stars of now and yesteryear that use and recommend their guitar. It is also part of the overall marketing process of the company - but it is a very good way of selling more instruments.
Manufactured in Korea, the Epiphone Supernova guitar is the personal guitar from Noel Gallagher of the band Oasis - one of the largest, classic, troublesome and greatest rock group of the previous twenty years. Noel is the songwriting brains behind Oasis, whist his brother Liam Gallagher is the larger than life front man, featuring heavily in the eye of the press and definitely famous for his brash personality, fighting and general OTT celebrity credentials. Oasis are known for classic songs such as Don't look back in anger and Shakermaker and their brand of brit-pop and guitar rock stands the test of time and is still relevant and influential to todays stars. Although Liam and Noel are more chilled out now and not quite as popular as they used to be, Oasis are continually producing amazing albums under the genius of Noel - who reports he plans to release a solo album in the future.
The 95' Epiphone Supernova is a custom designed version of the Sheraton, another of the manufacturers more popular guitars. The Supernova we can get today is not the same one as the one used by Noel though. During the promotion of the Oasis album, Whats The Story Morning Glory, Noel and the band were pictured and filmed with a custom designed Epiphone Sheraton covered with the Union Jack flag. Designed to represent that actual guitar, the commercial model has a different style and a few minor alterations such as having different types of pickup's, Alnico 57s rather than mini humbucker pickups which feature on the original. The originating guitar played by Noel now hangs in the O2 arena in London, England as part of the British Music Experience.
The %KEYWORD1% is not made any longer but was made in various colors including the famous signed union jack model requested by Noel Gallagher. The others were blue to represent the Manchester City Football Club that the band follows, Cherry Red and a hard to find Ebony Black version. The Supernova features large parallelogram fret markers, a long scale neck, a rosewood fret board, a vintage tremolo, a laminated and hollow body which makes it easy to wear and much easier to play. The pickguard has Noel's signature on and has the Epiphone logo.
The %KEYWORD1% produces clear, warm tones that are practical for rock or blues. Sounding quite a bit like a more pricy Gibson model, the %KEYWORD1% will give you the sound you want. The build quality is excellent and should be without any major issues.
The %KEYWORD1% is well rounded guitar and well worth buying - even more so if you also enjoy Noel Gallagher and Oasis!
