But acoustic songs can also be viewed in a different light. Under the umbrella of the acoustic genre comes other types of music that some consider to be different that acoustic. Folk, lounge, mellow, piano, bluegrass and other genres of music contain that same unplugged feel.
In the indie music world, acoustic music has taken off. Many smaller groups and individuals tour around with a keyboard and guitar and consider themselves acoustic artists.
